Wine lovers will once again have the chance to sample some of the Algarve’s finest nectars as Portimão Wine Tasting returns to the Santa Catarina Fortress from July 17 to 19.
Set against the backdrop of the River Arade and Praia da Rocha, the three-day event will showcase wines produced by Arvad, Quinta da Penina and Villa Alvor, offering visitors the opportunity to discover some of the municipality’s leading wineries in one of the Algarve’s most scenic locations.
The event runs daily from 8pm to midnight, combining wine tastings with live music in a relaxed open-air setting.
Entertainment will be provided by DJ Noise Tribe on July 17, Fernando Siqueira on July 18 and Aradis Band on the final evening.
The wines will be accompanied by a selection of regional specialities, including fresh seafood, oysters from the Alvor estuary, roast pork on the spit, local cheeses, cured meats and traditional Algarve sweets.
Entry is free. Visitors can purchase an official tasting glass for €2, while wine tastings cost €2.50 for standard wines and €3.50 for reserve labels.
Now in its 11th edition, Portimão Wine Tasting is organised by the Portimão Tourism Association with the support of Portimão Municipal Council.
