Forces in Europe want historical revenge through conflict with Russia — Kremlin

GENEVA, July 7. /TASS/. Revanchism plays a role in shaping the image of the "Russian threat" in the minds of Europeans, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the Swiss magazine Die Weltwoche.

Among the reasons for the Russophobia of European politicians, the Kremlin representative singled out "historical traditions, plus history is repeating itself, plus this is kind of revenge that some powers in Europe are trying to take."
