Gabriel Clemens survived an incredible comeback from Luke Woodhouse to win his first PDC event, after securing an 8-6 win over the Englishman in the final of Players Championship 24.
Clemens got off to a flying start at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester, taking a 6-2 lead against Woodhouse, who had reached the final with a 7-5 victory against Gian van Veen earlier in the evening.
But the Englishman eventually found his groove, reeling off the next four legs to bring the match level at 6-6.

Clemens appeared to briefly stutter on his first attempt to retake the lead. The German looked to check out from 70, and opted to throw for treble 20, only to hit one.
Woodhouse gave Clemens another chance to move to 7-6, and this time he coolly checked out on 54.
With Woodhouse on the ropes, Clemens ended the match in style, sensationally checking out on 170 by hitting two treble 20s and a bullseye.
