Rachel Zegler, Penn Badgley & Amy Ryan Thriller ‘NDA’ Acquired By Bleecker Street

Bleecker Street has taken U.S. rights to the Rachel Zegler, Penn Badgley and Amy Ryan psychological thriller, NDA.

Pic reps the feature directorial debut of Nike, Gatorade commercial director Audrey Ellis Fox, whose original script landed a spot on the 2024 Black List and was selected for the 2023 Women in Film X Black List’s Feature Residency program.

NDA follows Dana (Zegler) during a maddening day of mediation for an office harassment claim she filed, and as the clock ticks towards an immutable deadline, she questions the price of her silence, sanity, and the truth.

The film is produced by Jared Ian Goldman and Zola Elgart Glassman for Mighty Engine, Keith Calder and Jess Wu Calder for SNOOT, Caitlin Gold for Tanbark Pictures, and Daniel Ginsberg for In The Cut Productions. EPs are Ellis Fox, Bleecker Street’s Kent Sanderson, Tyler DiNapoli, and Miranda King, as well as Christian Hall.

NDA is currently shooting in NYC.

Zegler’s won a Golden Globe Best Actress for her breakout role in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story. Her feature credits include The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Y2K, Spellbound, Snow White, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. On stage, she recently starred in Evita at the London Palladium, which earned her the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical, and will reprise the role on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theatre in 2027. She will next be seen in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s film adaptation of the musical Octet and the comedy drama She Gets It from Me.

Badgley starred in 121 episodes of Gossip Girl and also played Joe Goldberg in the Netflix psychological thriller You”. He will next appear in the romantic comedy You Deserve Each Other alongside Meghann Fahy.

Ryan received a Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for her turn in Ben Affleck’s Gone Baby Gone. Other feature films include Birdman, Bridge of Spies, Beautiful Boy, and Beau Is Afraid. On television, Ryan is known for her turn as Holly Flax on The Office, as well as performances in Only Murders in the Building, The Wire, and In Treatment. She is set to appear in Academy Award winner Tom McCarthy’s A Statement.
