Foreign volleyball teams from the United States, Guam, Australia and Vietnam will compete against Philippine squads in the 2026 Shakey’s Super League National Invitationals, giving local players an opportunity to measure themselves against international opposition.
Athletic Events and Sports Management, Inc. (ACES), the tournament organizer, announced that overseas teams will reinforce both the juniors’ and collegiate divisions of the annual competition scheduled this July.
“We want to give our local players a good idea of foreign competition,” ACES president Dr. Ian Laurel said Tuesday during the Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum at the Philippine Sports Commission media room inside Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

“Another motivation for these teams is that they know how popular volleyball is here,” Laurel added. “They will also visit different university campuses because some of their players, particularly Filipino-Americans, are interested in pursuing college scholarships in the Philippines. College coaches will likely be scouting these players.”
