Trial date set for accused in fatal stabbing case in Auckland CBD

A trial date has been set for the 23-year-old charged with murdering a man in central Auckland last month.

The victim was found with critical stab wounds on Wellesley Street East on 16 June and died shortly after being taken to hospital.

The accused man appeared at the High Court in Auckland on Wednesday.

He has not entered a plea.

A three-week trial is set to begin on 5 July next year.
