Series of explosions heard in area of Sirik, Qeshm in Iran — Mehr

TEHRAN, July 8. /TASS/. A series of explosions have occurred in the area of Qeshm Island and the port city of Sirik in Iran, the Mehr agency reported, citing eyewitnesses.

The agency also reported explosions near the city of Bandar Abbas.

Earlier, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that they had begun a series of powerful strikes against Iran in response to what they claim are attacks by the Islamic Republic on three vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
