Truck crashes disrupt traffic flow on SH3 in Waikato

A truck has rolled on State Highway 3 in Awakino, in Waikato, blocking the road.

Emergency services are responding to the incident which occurred at about 9am between Iredale Quay and Gribbin Street.

One person has been taken to hospital with moderate injuries.

Work is underway to recover the truck and clear the road.

Meanwhile, SH3 between Papakauri and Awakau Roads, is also partially blocked.

Emergency services were called to a crash about 10.20am.

A truck and trailer have crashed and while both lanes were blocked initially, one lane is now open, police say.

Initial indications are that there are no reported injuries.

Motorists are advised to take an alternate route where possible and expect delays in both sections of SH3.
