CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Montenegro Shipping Lines Inc. (MSLI) has canceled all scheduled trips for the Lucena City–San Agustin, Romblon route on Wednesday due to unfavorable weather conditions brought by Super Typhoon Inday.
In a travel advisory, the shipping company said the suspension was implemented to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and vessels as the typhoon continues to affect sea conditions.
“The safety of our passengers, crew, and vessels remains our highest priority,” the company said, urging travelers to monitor its official communication channels for updates on the resumption of operations and other travel advisories.

Passengers with inquiries were advised to contact the company’s Lucena City office or its San Agustin, Romblon office for assistance.
The cancellation comes as Super Typhoon Inday (international name Bavi) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday, enhancing the southwest monsoon and prompting government agencies and transport operators to heighten preparedness measures.
Although the cyclone is not expected to make landfall, it is generating rough sea conditions in several areas, prompting shipping companies to suspend voyages as a precaution.
Authorities have advised travelers, especially those planning inter-island trips, to monitor weather updates and coordinate with shipping operators before proceeding to ports./coa
