Charli D’Amelio Says Her Mental Health “Keeps Declining” Amid Alleged Family Rift
Charli D’Amelio is feeling the challenges of being 22.
The social media star updated fans about the hardest part of navigating life in her 22nd year, namely how she's been handling struggles with her mental wellbeing without an older support system.
"My mental health keeps declining," Charli admitted in the YouTube AMA posted July 4. "The age keeps going up, but the number of therapy sessions keeps going up too."
The TikToker answered fans' burning questions while hiking or, as Charli put it, "disconnecting to reconnect" by "touching grass."
Charli noted that "fully being in charge for the first time" added another layer of difficulty to navigating challenges in her personal life, as well as "not having the guidance, or the mentors to help me or guide me for what decisions I should make or the life that I want to live."
Still, the "Pain" singer expressed that she’s excited to get back to posting on YouTube regularly again after a much-needed four-month hiatus. The time off camera coincided with speculation that Charli had become estranged from parents Heidi and Marc D'Amelio due to fans catching wind that Charli and the couple—married 26 years—no longer followed each other on Instagram in late 2025.
The rumors only gained steam when the internet also clocked that Charli and sister Dixie D'Amelio stopped posting about the family's popcorn company, Be Happy Snacks, around the same time. People confirmed last month that Charli is no longer involved in the business.
"I would love to be able to really explain what was going on over those few months," Charli explained in her latest video, "but that means dedicated time because it was very sensitive."
But fans won't have to wait forever to hear Charli's side of the story about what she’s been dealing with at home, as the DWTS alum knows how important it is "to speak on mental health" to help others in a similar position.
As Charli put it, "It's something that I would love to be able to talk about and help other people through because I know it's not just me that had a hard winter."

As for her parents, Marc spoke out on the rumors of an alleged family fallout.
"This is not true,” Marc commented in response to a DeuxMoi post May 30. “We love Charli but she is being manipulated and I have the receipts. Over the last six years, we have remained silent and never addressed gossip but the time has come to set the record straight."
E! News has reached out to reps for Charli, Marc and Heidi for comment on the feud rumors but hasn’t heard back.
