In pictures: Parts of New Zealand hammered by storms

Parts of the country have been hammered by heavy rain, strong winds and snow since the weekend.

And it's not over yet, with MetService warning it will be wet and miserable for the next two days in the capital and surrounding areas.

RNZ has a number of reporters and visual journalists out in the field speaking to those affected.
