The Director of the Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Sani Anas, urged residents to be cautious in the use of fire and ensure that all naked flames and other sources of fire are completely extinguished after use to prevent avoidable outbreaks.
He also advised parents and guardians to keep children away from puddles, ponds, rivers and uncovered wells to reduce cases of drowning, particularly among children and young people.
