Borg added that these results strengthen the government’s commitment to continue investing in IVF services and the Embryo Protection Authority.

He announced further increases in the Authority’s human and financial resources, alongside new fertility education programmes and national awareness campaigns on reproductive health.

“From the very beginning, the Government chose to invest in people, professionals and the best technology available. At the same time, it was prepared to take important and crucial decisions, even when they were not easy or required political courage. Nor did it hesitate to introduce the legislative changes needed to ensure our legal framework reflects today’s realities and provides the necessary tools to achieve as many success stories as possible,” said Borg.
