
VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — Eight people narrowly escaped death after a landslide buried two houses in Purok 2, Barangay Tawas in Kitaotao, Bukidnon last Sunday night as continuous heavy rains triggered by the enhanced southwest monsoon affected parts of the province, belated reports reaching here on Wednesday said.Generose Amistoso, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) chief, said the occupants survived after hearing a rumbling sound and immediately fled their homes, which were built along the foot of a hillside, moments before mud, rocks, and debris engulfed the structures at around 9 p.m.
