MANILA, Philippines — On the third day of the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, the presiding officer, Sen. Francis Escudero, took up a tabled motion to delete from the record the answer made by House prosecutor Amando Virgil Ligutan by Sen. Pia Hontiveros as to whether Duterte’s statements in the “kill threat” video constituted an impeachable offense. Escudero allowed defense counsel Carlo Narvasa to comment on Ligutan’s answer. /atm
