June 29, 2026 — marked more than the launch of a new hotel discount program. For the tourism officials, hospitality executives, and LGBTQIA+ advocates gathered at Hotel DreamWorld North EDSA, it was a public statement: the Philippine hospitality sector is opening its doors wider to welcome every traveler, without exception.
Dubbed Pride Plus+ and branded with the tagline “Diverse Destinations, Inclusive Experiences,” the digital membership card is backed by three chain hotel brands under Global Comfort Group Corporation (GCGC) — Eurotel, Hotel DreamWorld, and Apo View Hotel — and rolled out in partnership with the Quezon City Government and QC Tourism Department. As organizers emphasized, its reach extends well beyond city limits.
A Community That Loves to Travel — Now Rewarded for It
LGBTQIA+ travelers are among the most active travelers in the world. Global tourism research consistently shows that LGBTQIA+ travelers take more trips per year, stay longer, and spend more per trip than the average traveler — often seeking out destinations and brands that are explicitly welcoming, safe, and affirming. That combination of frequent travel and a strong preference for inclusive spaces is exactly what Pride Plus+ was built to serve.
“Travel is one of the ways our community celebrates freedom — the freedom to explore, to be seen, and to feel safe wherever we go,” organizers noted at the launch. “Pride Plus+ turns that everyday reality into everyday savings.”
From Metro Manila to Davao: A Perk You Can Use Almost Anywhere
At its core, Pride Plus+ delivers tangible, everyday benefits: members receive 30% off standard room rates, 5% off food and beverage purchases at all participating properties, plus exclusive perks and monthly promotions.
What makes the card especially powerful is how far it travels with you. Cardholders can use their Pride Plus+ perks at Hotel Dream World and Eurotel branches across Quezon City and nearby hubs including Las Piñas, Makati, Manila, and Ortigas East — covering the trips people take most: weekend staycations, work travel, and visits to friends and family. Heading further out, the card extends all the way to Eurotel Angeles-Clark and Eurotel Boracay for a night life or beach escape, and Apo View Hotel in the heart of Davao — giving LGBTQIA+ travelers and their companions inclusive, budget-friendly stays across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
For a community that travels often — for work, for Pride events, for family, or simply for the joy of it — that kind of nationwide reach means Pride Plus+ isn’t a one-time promo. It’s a travel companion.
“Quezon City is proud to be a foundational partner, but this program is not limited to our city,” said Giana Aira Barata, Officer-in-Charge of the Quezon City Tourism Department. “Our tourism policies are built on one simple principle: every visitor deserves to feel welcome, regardless of who they love or how they identify.”
A Commitment Beyond Pride Month
The launch drew a diverse crowd of hotel executives, local government representatives, and advocacy groups including the ASEAN SOGIE Caucus, We Pride PH, Team Dugong Bughaw, Green GSM, and others. Their presence underscored that Pride Plus+ is about more than lower rates — it is about solidarity and recognition.
“As Plus in Pride means, This is not a temporary campaign that fades after Pride Month,” said Christian Emmanuel “Chris” Bona, Head of Hotel Marketing at Global Comfort Group Corporation. “By committing the program through December 2026, we are turning a gesture into a promise: consistent inclusion and dignity for LGBTQIA+ guests, every day of the year.”
“This is a vital step forward in making travel safer and more affirming for everyone,” said Mark Evangel Rosales, Head of Sales and Partnership at Green GSM.
From Formal Remarks to Celebration
The program formally launched through December 2026 in the presence of Manila’s hospitality and travel sector, but the mood shifted from ceremony to celebration when content creator and LGBTQIA+ advocate Pitik Queen took the stage. Best known for a viral dance routine, Pitik Queen opened not with a performance but with a heartfelt reflection on identity and courage — using their platform to speak directly to LGBTQIA+ Filipinos, particularly those in the provinces, before launching into the signature routine that had the room on its feet, singing and dancing along.
In that moment, what could have been a standard business announcement became a joyful, shared display of unity — a reminder that the campaign’s goals of visibility and belonging are as central to Pride Plus+ as its discounts.
