
MANILA, Philippines — Palace press officer Claire Castro on Wednesday expressed concern over Sen. Pia Cayetano, who she said appeared to be running out of breath whenever she spoke during the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
During a briefing, Castro was asked to comment on Cayetano’s remark that Malacañang was “very supportive” of the Senate majority bloc.

Before answering, the Palace official first inquired about the senator’s well-being.

“First and foremost, we would like to check on Senator Pia Cayetano. How are you doing, Senator Pia Cayetano?” Castro said.
“Because whenever she speaks, especially recently, she always seems to be out of breath. We are not sure if it is due to excitement, anxiety, or something else, but perhaps you also noticed that Senator Pia has been having shortness of breath while speaking,” added Castro. /gsg
