A series of touching photos shared by the Service Dogs Malta Foundation has captured the unwavering bond between a young girl and her service dog.

The foundation shared images of Sam, a service dog, patiently waiting at Mater Dei Hospital while his human, little Ella, underwent a minor surgical procedure.

“Through it all, Sam stays by her side, patiently waiting for her return,” the foundation wrote alongside the photos.

Calling the moment a reminder of the incredible role service dogs play in people’s lives, the foundation added: “Our service dogs truly are priceless.”

The heartwarming images have struck a chord online, highlighting the comfort, reassurance and unconditional support that service dogs provide during even the most difficult moments.
