Live sunset concerts at Carvoeiro boardwalk

Visitors and residents will be able to enjoy live music against one of the Algarve’s most picturesque backdrops this month as the Carvoeiro boardwalk hosts a series of free sunset concerts every Wednesday evening.

The Pôr do Sol (Sunset) programme takes place on the Praia do Carvoeiro boardwalk from 7pm to 8.30pm, offering audiences the chance to watch the sun set over the Atlantic while enjoying performances by local musicians.

The series opens today, Wednesday, July 8, with a performance by fado singer Katrina.

The remaining programme features saxophonist Tomás Frade on July 15, vocalist and pianist Magnólia on July 22, and violinist João Feliz on July 29.

Organised by the Lagoa e Carvoeiro Parish Council with the support of Lagoa Municipality, the initiative aims to combine live music with one of the Algarve’s best-known coastal viewpoints.

All performances are free to attend and no booking is required. Concerts begin at 7pm.
