Taylor Swift Wins Lawsuit Days After Travis Kelce Wedding

Travis Kelce is recalling the time he knelt to the ground, pulled out a ring and said, “Marry me, Taylor Swift.”

Less than a week after the couple officially tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York July 3, the Kansas City Chiefs player reflected back to when their engagement first started after Taylor’s appearance on New Heights.

“Starting it with Taylor, pretty epic,” Travis mused during a July 8 episode of New Heights, likely recorded ahead of their wedding. “During that recording the entire time, I’m planning, like, I’m gonna ask this woman to marry me after this.”

In addition to the latest episode with Tom Brady, Travis admitted that both recordings were some of the “really cool moments” of the latest season of his and Jason Kelce’s podcast.

But the premiere with his now-wife certainly takes the penthouse of the NFL star’s heart. As he put it, “The beginning of it with Taylor is one I’ll remember forever.”

Meanwhile, Jason was holding on to different memories from taping the episode.

“It’s by far the most huge episode of all time,” Jason shared. “It was incredible. I’ve never been more nervous.”

And while Taylor’s appearance on New Heights will long live as one of the best podcast episodes ever, it’s what happened afterward that will stay forever in the back of the newlyweds’ minds.

“I think for Travis the podcast was just like a distraction sort of ruse to keep me not looking out the windows of the house,” Taylor joked during an October appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. “Every time he does the podcast, it’s not like he blacks out all the windows.

There was fully like, blackout drapes on every single window of the whole house. I was like, ‘He is so serious about this and I really appreciate that.’”

After they were done recording, though, Taylor realized Travis still couldn’t shake off his nerves.

“He’s like, ‘My heart is racing. I know how much this means to you. I just want it to be what you hoped it would be,’” Taylor continued. “I’ve never seen this dude nervous. Ever. He’s professionally not a nervous person.”

The dominoes all cascaded in a line, however, when Travis revealed the plan he had masterminded.

“He was like, ‘Do you want to go and just walk around the backyard and have a glass of wine?’” Taylor detailed. “I was like, ‘I’m always gonna wanna do that.’ And then I realized exactly why all of the windows were curtained and why he was nervous.”

As Taylor mused, “It was the best possible case scenario.”
