IMF confirms Italy GDP forecasts, +0.5% in 2026 and 2027

Growth revised downward for France and Germany this year

The International Monetary Fund on

Wednesday confirmed growth of +0.5% for Italy both this year and

in 2027, according to its updated World Economic Outlook.

The forecasts for Spain are also confirmed at +2.1% and +1.8%,

while the estimates for France and Germany have been revised

downward for 2026.

France is expected to grow by 0.6% this year, 0.3 percentage

points lower than the April forecast.

Growth for 2027 is estimated at +0.9% (unchanged from April).

For Germany, the IMF estimates GDP growth of 0.7% this year and

1.0% next year.
