Golfers are being invited to tee off for a good cause later this month as the Algarve Regional Multiple Sclerosis Association (AREMDA) holds its annual charity golf tournament in Vilamoura.
The event takes place on Saturday, July 25, at Pestana Vila Sol Golf, with play getting underway at 8am. All proceeds will help support people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurodegenerative conditions across the Algarve.
Based in Faro, AREMDA is a charitable organisation that works to improve the quality of life of people affected by multiple sclerosis and other disabling neurological diseases, while also supporting their families and promoting greater social inclusion.
As well as raising funds, the tournament aims to bring together golfers, local businesses and supporters in aid of the charity’s work throughout the region.
Participation in the tournament, including lunch, costs €87.50 per person, €160 per couple, or €82.50 for Vila Sol members. Those who do not wish to play golf can still support the initiative by attending the fundraising lunch, priced at €60, while people living with multiple sclerosis can attend for €15.
Organisers ask participants to complete payment at least 48 hours before the tournament to confirm their registration.
