According to King-Chan, the minor admitted that he posted the threat so their classes would be suspended and that he merely copied a similar incident in Talisay City.
(However, the minor has realized the gravity of the offense he committed, which caused great fear and anxiety among the public.)
The minor is currently under the custody of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD).
He will also undergo intervention through the Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Desk of Barangay Talima, the CSWDO, and DepEd to ensure that he can continue his studies through modular learning.

Following the incident, King-Chan urged Oponganons to be responsible and use social media wisely.
(With today’s technology, it is easy to trace accounts that violate the law, even if they use dummy accounts.)
She also advised the public to refrain from posting false information that could cause chaos, disorder, and fear among the public.
