Travis Kelce Steps Out in NYC Days Before Rumored Taylor Swift Wedding
Taylor Swift really is the toast of the town, babe.
Just days after tying the knot with husband Travis Kelce, the “Opalite” singer has been nominated for her first Emmy in over 10 years thanks to her record-breaking Eras Tour.
Swift received acknowledgement as a performer and producer for The Eras Tour: The Final Show concert film, which expands upon the 2023 theatrical release with the addition of her The Tortured Poets Department set, for Outstanding Variety Special.
Dave Chappelle: The Unstoppable…, The Muppet Show, Nikki Glaser: Good Girl and Wicked: One Wonderful Night also received nominations in the category.
Meanwhile, the director of Swift’s concert film, Glen Weiss, also scored a nomination for Best Directing for a Variety Special.
Swift’s latest accomplishment is simply a new notch in her belt, as she previously took home her first-ever Emmy nomination and win in 2015 for AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience, an interactive 360 degree mobile app that allowed fans to immerse themselves into her music video for “Blank Space.”
At the time, it solidified Swift—who has also taken home 14 Grammy awards—as halfway to EGOT status. Naturally, she shared she had “no chill” about the award when she received it while on her 1989 tour.
“WHEN THEY OVERNIGHT YOU AN EMMY,” Swift wrote in a since-deleted post on X at the time, alongside a photo of herself and her crew posing with the statuette. “I DID NOT KNOW THIS WAS A THING.”

Whatever the outcome of Swift’s latest nominations, though, she’s already touted the Eras Tour—which raked in a whopping $2 billion on ticket sales alone—as the biggest accomplishment of her career thus far.
“The idea that an artist had, in my case, the privilege of developing to the point where you’re in your 30s and you do know yourself a bit more,” Swift said in the End of an Era documentary of her landmark tour, “and then you were able to make the thing that they’ll know you for: There’s something very special about that.”
Indeed, it was as though the dominoes cascaded in a line.
“There’s times, these very rare instances, where you make something and the wind is at your back,” Swift added. “Somehow culture and timing, and whatever mood there is out in the world about you that you can’t control, all lines up for this to go well.”
