'Love Island USA' Star Gabriel Reveals Where He Stands With Beatriz After Leaving the Villa
Charlie Georgio has brotherly love for Zach Georgio's decision to move at his own pace on Love Island USA.
After Zach, 26, decided he and partner Kayda Bosse, 22, should wait until returning to the real world to take on the titles of boyfriend and girlfriend, fans criticized the U.K. native for not making it official with the bombshell he coupled up with on day three of the competition. In response, Charlie has stepped in to defend his younger brother's practical approach.
"It’s a mature decision to be exclusively dating rather than label yourself boyfriend and girlfriend before you leave into the outside world," Charlie explained in a Threads post July 7. "Being in the villa is a manufactured and completely surreal [environment] to the outside world."
The model's words echoed Zach and Kayda's justification inside the Villa, although their closest friends—Bryce Dettloff and Trinity Tatum, or as fans lovingly call the couple, Brinity—expressed the same opinion as many viewers watching at home. That is, that Zach's choice to add the label of "exclusive" six weeks into the experiment with no new Islanders expected to join might not be cause for celebration for Kayda.
But for Charlie, waiting for labels was the right move.
"Dating on the outside already has its complications for many people. Now amplify it for the cast as it’s about to be very intense for all of them," Charlie continued in his sound off, adding, "they have no clue how it will be to adjust into the real world as a couple right now."
And the 29-year-old knows the pressure that comes with continuing a relationship outside of the Fiji bubble firsthand. After all, Charlie appeared on the previous season of the Peacock series, after which he wasn't able to maintain a connection with love interest Hannah Fields.

And though Charlie has been fielding backlash in response to Zach's dating moves, the reality star is putting family first.
"You want me to ridicule my brother online whilst I’m receiving vast amounts of insane hate towards him to 'win people over'?" Charlie questioned in a follow-up Thread. "Wrong family. I don’t care to be liked by fanatic cult obsessed deluded people online."
