Our shopping editors have had a busy month already — and trust us, we know we’re only a little over a week into July. We’ve wrapped up Prime Day, scoured the internet for the best World Cup and America 250 merch, and kept up with a seemingly endless stream of new releases. Which also means we’ve sorted through product after product like it’s our job (because, luckily, it is).
We’ve seen the anniversary drops, the gifts promising to make your spouse feel special, and the same album covers pressed again and again so every fan can own one more “exclusive” variant. But we’ve also seen the bad, the huh?, and, especially in fashion, the just plain ugly. All of that is to say: We’ve spent the past few weeks separating the great from the gimmicky to put together our Editors’ Picks for July.
On this list, you’ll find a little bit of everything — from spirits to specialty bicycles and even a handheld fan that saved us during New York City’s record-breaking heat wave. So whether you’re shopping for actual survival or just looking for something that’ll make your day-to-day a little more fun, you’ll find it here.
The Best Products of July 2026
We’ve tested everything on this list. We’re not just throwing products at you, so you can sleep easy knowing these are all genuinely loved by the shopping team at Rolling Stone. (Unless you have insomnia — that’s a whole other story.) D.S. & DURGA Crush Balls
This Crush Balls eau de parfum from made-in-New York brand D.S. & Durga features a scent inspired by all things tennis: green grass, hedge flowers, moss, fresh cotton, and “yellow fuzz,” among other notes. It’s light and fresh, and it’s shaping up to be my summer go-to scent. — O.H.
Jisulife Portable Handheld Fan Ultra2
New York and the East Coast as a whole have been experiencing a brutal heat wave, and I am not speaking in hyperbole when I say this handheld fan has literally saved my life this summer. I’ve used it walking around the city, on subway platforms, at the World Cup, and even while waiting for the annual Fourth of July hot dog eating contest.
It has a long-lasting battery, a dial that lets you turn the airflow all the way up to 100, and an easy-to-hold design. One day my air conditioner went out, and I had to rely on this instead, and honestly, it worked better than my central AC. — A.M.R.
Specialized Turbo Vado 3 EVO 4.0
I got a chance to take a spin on Specialized’s latest Turbo Vado 3 EVO 4.0 e-bike, which lives up to the promise of an e-bike as a genuine alternative to a car for commuting. With integrated front and rear lights, it’s easy to hop on and go anytime, and it even features a sensor for notifying you of cars approaching from the rear.
There’s a handy rear rack, with compatible accessories for toting groceries. Setting aside utility, it’s a genuinely fun ride; you can adjust the motor if you’re looking for more or less of a workout, while the dropper post and beefy tires mean you can even throw some off-road adventuring at it. — J.Z.
American Tall Commuter Chino
Finally, a pair of shorts made specifically for women over five feet nine, with a hem that lands where it should and enough structured cotton fabric to avoid that dreaded “wedgie” feeling. For American Tall, our editors’ favorite speciality clothing brand, crafting styles that flatter tall people isn’t just an afterthought.
Every detail feels considered, from the trend-aware silhouettes to the impeccable, polished tailoring. — S.D.
Fettercairn 16 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Fettercairn Distillery has been around for more than 200 years, but the brand finally landed in the U.S. last year. One of their best offerings is this 16-year-old, delivering the label’s signature tropical-fruit flavor in the form of grilled pineapple and passion fruit, plus vanilla, honey, and rose petal.
It’s well-rounded, approachable, and unique — plus, even your most whisky-obsessed friends might not have tasted it yet. — O.H.
ISKRA Jewelry
Iskra is the best personalized jewelry brand you’ve never heard of. Its custom necklaces in 14K solid gold (no vermeil or plating here) double as wearable art, letting you honor that special someone — my mom cried when she received her own Iskra pendant — by allowing them to keep everything dear to them close to heart.
Next-day shipping options also make Iskra a top gift idea for last-minute shoppers with good taste. — S.D.
Goose Dating App
At an invite-only dinner a few weeks ago for the launch of his new gay dating app, Goose, the model turned actor Derek Chadwick recited a well-rehearsed monologue about struggling to find real relationships online. That was the motivation behind Goose, he explained — a dating app that promises “real world” connections rather than swiping through faceless torsos and overly curated profiles online. To wit: There are no labels or “matching” on Goose and no rules about who can start a conversation. Instead, users are encouraged to “wave” at someone they like, while treating their profiles like a social media page, where you can share everything from favorite spots in the neighborhood to where you’re heading out for the night.
Whether or not Goose will be successful remains to be seen — many gay dating apps have come and gone in the past, while others ultimately default back to a hookup app. And the hard part will be convincing users that the chiseled influencer Chadwick can build something that everyday gays can relate to. Goose also currently operates on a member-by-member approval basis, which further adds to the idea that it’s exclusive rather than inclusive.
Still, if there’s one thing about the gay community, it’s that we’re persistent, whether it be a small-tier actor hustling for his next big business opportunity, or a small-town boy just looking for love. Goose says it’s here to “build a genuine community in the digital arena,” and hey, I guess everything’s worth a shot. — T.C.
Bombay Sapphire French Blonde Cocktail Kit
If you can’t get enough of T&T’s wedding celebrations (also known as Taylor and Travis), Bombay Sapphire has the perfect way to keep the festivities going now that the July 4 nuptials at Madison Square Garden have finished.
The brand’s new French Blonde Cocktail Kit, available through Cocktail Courier, includes everything you need to mix up the beverage — a cocktail that has famously been rumored to be a favorite of the multi-Grammy-Award-winning superstar.
With Bombay Sapphire’s signature gin as the star of the show, it’s basically a “Love Story” in a glass, and one we’re dubbing the unofficial sip of the summer. — A.M.R.
Summit 27” Fire Pit + Surround Bundle
Every summer should include at least one great backyard fire pit night, but if you don’t want the hassle of building one, or hiring a contractor who may or may not actually finish the job, turn to Solo Stove, a brand we swear by.
Its smokeless fire pits are easy to move around if you decide to switch up your outdoor setup and put out some serious heat, whether you’re roasting s’mores or warming up after a late-night swim. They’re affordably priced and feel just as essential to the season as a good old-fashioned hot dog and bun, which, yes, you can absolutely roast over the top. — A.M.R.
Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea Bourbon
America celebrated a milestone birthday this year— 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence — and what better way to raise a glass than with bourbon? Not just any bourbon, either, but one named after one of our Founding Fathers: Jefferson’s.
Jefferson’s Bourbon is a Kentucky classic from a family-owned business that knows its whiskey. It has seriously sexy packaging that deserves a permanent spot on your bar cart, goes down easy (almost too easy), and comes from a brand that truly knows its craft inside and outside the barrel. — A.M.R.
