Trump: Iran ‘called a little while ago, they want to make a deal so badly’
US President Donald Trump claims Iran “called a little while ago, they want to make a deal so badly.”
“I just don’t if they are worthy of making a deal. I don’t know if they are going to honor a deal, that’s the problem,” he tells reporters aboard Air Force One.
Asked why Iran would attack commercial ships if it wants to reach an agreement as he claims, Trump says, “they’re sort of a crazy. They’re a little bit out of control, but they want to make a deal — badly.”
Trump also warns Iran against attacking US targets, saying “every time they hit us we’re going to hit them twenty[fold].” He stresses he doesn’t know if the sides are heading toward a full resumption of activities.
Posting pictures of strikes, Trump warns Iran that they ‘will get much worse’ if attacks on Hormuz shipping continue
US President Donald Trump shares images of US military strikes on Iran, calling them “retribution for yesterday’s bombing of ships by Iran.”

Mahmoud Abbas holds first publicized call with head of technocratic committee tasked with managing Gaza
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas held his first publicized phone call with former PA deputy minister Ali Shaath since the latter was appointed to head the committee of Palestinian technocrats tasked with replacing Hamas rule in Gaza.
Abbas phoned Shaath the express condolences for the passing of Shaath’s uncle, but a source familiar with the matter says the pair also discussed political developments.
While the PA initially opposed the formation of the US-backed National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, hoping that it would immediately be given control of the Strip following the Gaza war, Ramallah has gradually agreed to cooperate with the NCAG, as it still seeks to replace the body upon completing necessary reforms.
