Connor Murphy's alleged last video saying 'I'm dying every second' resurfaces after his death
Popular American fitness influencer and YouTuber Connor Murphy has died at the age of 32 after a drowning incident in Thailand. In the wake of his death, a video widely shared on X as his "last video" has gone viral, but the clip has since been clarified as an old recording.The video showed Murphy speaking directly to the camera, saying he felt like he was "dying every second.""I'm just trying to remind myself because I'm really high. It's getting weird. I feel like I'm dying every second. I feel like I am dying every second. So I'm just making this video so I can watch it and remind myself. Am I dreaming? Is it real?"The clip quickly spread across social media, with many users claiming it had been recorded shortly before his death and speculating that Murphy was under the influence of drugs.However, the post later received a Community Note stating that the video was not his final recording and had actually been filmed several years earlier. There is no evidence linking the clip to the events leading up to his death.
What happened to Connor Murphy?
According to Thai authorities, the incident took place on July 7 in Samut Prakan province after emergency responders received reports of a foreign man entering a lake while behaving erratically.
Police said rescue divers searched the water for around 30 minutes before recovering Murphy's body approximately 20 metres from the shore. Officials added that there were no signs of physical assault.Investigators are examining a video reportedly recorded by a residential employee that allegedly showed Murphy experiencing what witnesses described as a psychotic episode before running toward the lake and swimming into deeper water.
He is believed to have become exhausted before drowning.The body has been sent for a forensic examination, while toxicology tests are also being carried out to determine whether any substances contributed to the incident.
Police continue investigation
Authorities said they searched the property where Murphy had been staying and reportedly found two unused syringes inside his vehicle, along with unidentified white pills in a waist bag. Police have not confirmed whether either item played any role in his death.Murphy's girlfriend, who told investigators they had been together for about three years, reportedly said she had never witnessed him using drugs while they were living together.Thai authorities have notified the U.S. Embassy as the investigation continues.
