Emergency services at scene of landslip near Wellington petrol station

Fire and Emergency says it is responding to a landslip near the Gull service station on Eastern Hutt Road.

FENZ said approximately four metres of soil has come down the hill and onto the forecourt.

One firetruck is at the scene and a council geotechnical expert has been requested to attend.

FENZ said they have responded to a total of five weather-related callouts in Wellington on Thursday.

Alongside the slip, they have also responded to three roof liftings and one lines down callout.
