Stephen Loman faces stern test in BRAVE CF return fight

MANILA, Philippines–Stephen Loman, the former BRAVE Combat Federation bantamweight champion, is finally set for his keenly awaited return fight in the Bahrain-based promotion on September 5.

Loman looks to pick up where he left off in BRAVE against Georgian No. 2 contender Lasha Abramishvili in BRAVE CF 108 at Pula Arena in Croatia.

“I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for a long time, and I’m grateful that my return is happening in BRAVE CF,” said Loman (17-3), whose reign as the promotion’s 135-pound champion lasted for 1,179 days with four successful title defenses.

It’s been nearly seven years since the hard-hitting Filipino last appeared in BRAVE CF, and his comeback fight against a surging Abramishvili is expected to serve as a big test for him.

Abramishvili (12-2) is on a tear, having won his past eight fights with six of those victories coming via stoppage.

“It is exciting to test myself against someone who accomplished so much in this division,” Abramishvili said. “Stephen Loman set a very high standard as World Champion, and I respect everything he has achieved.

“A convincing win over him would show that I deserve to be the next man fighting for the BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Title.”

It’s also interesting to see the fitness level and readiness of the 34-year-old Loman, who hasn’t fought since September 2023, when he suffered a unanimous decision loss to former UFC veteran John Lineker in ONE Fight Night 14 in Singapore.

Loman won all of his six fights in BRAVE CF before signing with ONE Championship in February 2021.

The Baguio City native rejoined BRAVE CF in December 2025.
