Local people have been told to keep windows closed, stop kids from playing outdoors

A huge blaze that broke out late on

Wednesday at warehouse in Milan's Bovisa quarter is under

control, firefighters said on Thursday.

The Fire Department said that, while it has not been possible to

fully extinguish two vehicles loaded with electric bikes and was

working to "cool them down", around 95% of the fire has been put

out.

"The hard part is done," it said

Local people have been told to keep their windows closed and not

to allow children to play outdoors and not to consumer fruit and

vegetables grown in the area as precautionary measures.
