BAGUIO CITY — The Regional Trial Court (RTC) and the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) in Baguio City have advised judges, court personnel, and litigants to wear face masks inside court premises following reports of rising Covid-19 cases and the recent infection of a court employee.
In a July 8 joint memorandum, the RTC and MTCC said mask-wearing is voluntary but covers all individuals entering the Hall of Justice and its annex at the summer courthouse of the Court of Appeals, as part of reinstated health protocols to prevent the virus’s spread.
The courts noted the precaution was prompted by reports of increasing Covid-19 cases in Metro Manila and a Baguio court employee who recently tested positive. No information about Baguio Covid-19 cases was available at press time.
