Cebuanos looking to experience authentic French cuisine will soon have another reason to gather around the table as Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu launches the second run of Flavours of France. Running from July 17 to 31, 2026 at The Sails Restaurant and The Forum, this culinary promotion brings classic French recipes to Cebu using locally sourced ingredients.
While Flavours of France is inspired by authentic French cuisine, every dish is prepared using locally sourced ingredients; a reflection of our commitment to supporting Cebuano producers and communities.

Rather than simply recreating dishes from France, the promotion demonstrates how Cebu’s hospitality scene continues to evolve by blending authentic European techniques with ingredients sourced from local communities.
The initiative also coincides with France’s National Day on July 14, giving diners an opportunity to experience French culture through food without leaving the island.
French traditions, Cebu ingredients
Leading the culinary showcase is Executive Chef Christian Bouby, a French national from Limoges, France, whose cooking reflects traditional techniques learned in his hometown.
The menu offers classic French dishes beginning with Moule Farcie (baked stuffed mussels) for ₱600 and the comforting Soupe à l’Oignon et Croûtons, a classic French onion soup topped with cheese croutons for ₱400.
Seafood lovers can enjoy Crevettes Sautées Provençale, sautéed shrimps with tomato, garlic, and wine (₱680), or Filet de Lieu Rôti au Beurre Nantais, a pan-seared sea bass fillet served with Nantais butter sauce, vegetables, and mashed potatoes (₱850).
For the main course, guests can choose between Rôti de Porc Braisé Jus à la Moutarde, roasted pork loin with Dijon mustard sauce and croquette potatoes (₱850), or the traditional Coq au Vin, chicken slowly cooked in red wine and served with buttered pasta (₱850).
To complete the meal, diners can indulge in French desserts including Crème Brûlée, Mini Tarte Fine aux Pommes (apple tart), and Profiterole au Chocolat, all priced at ₱450 each.
“While Flavours of France is inspired by authentic French cuisine, every dish is prepared using locally sourced ingredients; a reflection of our commitment to supporting Cebuano producers and communities,” shared Simon Chew, General Manager, Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu.
This philosophy gives the promotion added significance for Cebu. The hotel demonstrates how international cuisine can celebrate local agriculture and suppliers while introducing authentic French flavors, creating a dining experience that benefits both guests and Cebuano communities.
Connecting cultures through food
For Cebu’s growing food and tourism industry, Flavours of France reflects a broader trend of hotels creating immersive dining experiences that encourage guests to slow down and connect over shared meals.
Rooted in Mövenpick’s European heritage, the promotion combines French cuisine with the brand’s signature Swiss hospitality, transforming an ordinary lunch or dinner into a cultural experience.
Available for lunch and dinner from July 17 to 31, 2026, Flavours of France invites families, friends, and food enthusiasts to discover French cuisine in a setting that remains distinctly Cebuano through its use of local ingredients and warm hospitality.
As Cebu continues to establish itself as one of the country’s leading culinary destinations, promotions like Flavours of France offer diners new ways to explore international flavors while celebrating the people and produce found closer to home.
