LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Two alleged armed drug pushers were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by police in General Trias City, Cavite, early Thursday, July 9.
The Police Regional Office 4-A (PRO-4A) said operatives from the city drug enforcement unit arrested the suspects, identified only by their aliases “Harley” and “Wilfredo,” after they allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth P500 to an undercover police officer in Barangay Navarro at around 1:30 a.m.

A subsequent body search allegedly led to the recovery from Harley of a caliber .45 Colt pistol and two magazines loaded with seven rounds of ammunition. Wilfredo was also found in possession of a caliber .22 revolver loaded with five bullets.
Police said neither suspect possessed the necessary government-issued licenses or permits for the firearms.
Operatives also allegedly seized four heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a combined weight of 4.44 grams and an estimated street value of P30,192, based on the valuation of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).
Authorities identified the two suspects as alleged street-level drug pushers operating in the area.
The suspects remain in police custody and are expected to face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the law against illegal possession of firearms. /jpv
