Chloë Sevigny Shares the Sweet Story Behind Her Son Vanja's Red Carpet Debut
You have to give Chloë Sevigny and her son Vanja’s latest photo op five stars.
After the Five Star Weekend actress and her 6-year-old—whom she shares with boyfriend Sinisa Mackovic—had an adorable moment at the premiere’s red carpet, she explained how the outing came to be.
“I was like, ‘I shouldn’t bring him on a carpet,’” Sevigny admitted in an exclusive interview with E! News’ Erin Lim Rhodes. “But he wouldn’t take no for an answer.”
The American Psycho actress revealed that her son appears to be following in her fashion footsteps.
“He’s just beginning to be,” the 51-year-old mused. “He’s like, ‘I want to wear all black. I want a gold chain. I want certain sunglasses.’ At first it was kind of a ninja thing but now it’s translating into something else. I think he gets a lot of attention for it.”
Indeed, the fashion designer joked it’s “wild” to see Vanja so interested at such a young age, adding, “I’m like, ‘Uh oh. Trouble.’”
But leave it to someone as fashionable as Sevigny to pass down her eye for style. Sporting a pale yellow gown with white draping, a long train and a slit up the thigh, she had to admit that her regal-looking look was “so gorgeous.”
And Sevigny’s costars Jennifer Garner, Gemma Chan and D’arcy Carden followed a similar assignment in equally breathtaking pastel looks. As the Kids star put it, “We just wanted to capture a beautiful sunset in the mirage of gowns.”

Meanwhile, the cast captured quite the beautiful experience in filming their upcoming Peacock series, which hit the platform July 9. The drama is based on the Elin Hilderbrand novel of the same name and sees a group of women unite for a weekend getaway to support their mutual friend grieving the death of her husband.
“I mean, we all fell in love,” Sevigny shared of the core cast, which also includes Regina Hall. “It was instantaneous. Everyone was really open and there was a real connection and it felt really deep and really real and true.”
As she put it, “We all respected each other so much and made each other laugh and cry—just like the show.”
