Gigi Hadid Makes Her Onscreen Acting Debut in Mindy Kaling's ‘Not Suitable for Work’
Gigi Hadid is ruffling feathers with this latest look.
In a bold return to couture, the 31-year-old donned a voluminous black feather piece circling her head and torso during the Balenciaga Fall 2026 show at Paris Haute Couture Week on July 8. To complete the look, Hadid wore black flowing trousers and long gloves.
And while Hadid has walked countless runways over the years, the show marked the model’s first couture runway in four years, having last walked for Off-White Fall/Winter 2022 in March 2022. That particular show was a milestone presentation, as it marked the label’s first haute couture collection—and the last to be designed by late creative director Virgil Abloh.
For Hadid, it was a moment that held a lot of meaning, as she was close friends with Abloh. In fact, she paid tribute to the fashion designer in the wake of his death in November 2021.
“He was 1 of 1,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “His kindness and energetic generosity left a lasting impression on every life he touched— he made everyone feel seen and special.”
This time around, Hadid helped usher in a new era, as Balenciaga creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli debuted his first couture collection for the fashion house.
Beyond this latest fashion moment, it’s been a busy week for Hadid, who attended her longtime bestie Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce alongside her boyfriend Bradley Cooper. For the July 3 nuptials, the mom of one—who shares Khai, 5, with ex Zayn Malik—wore a flamingo pink Wiederhoeft gown that made the whole place shimmer.

As for her glam on this white-veiled occasion, Hadid’s hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos gave some insight on the look.
"Gigi is wearing a gorgeous pink dress so I wanted to keep her hair very soft and sweet," he explained on Instagram. "I wanted to have this sweet feeling when u see Gigi same feeling when u have a soft serve ice cream."
