
MANILA, Philippines — Senator Rodante Marcoleta is now fit to travel, a Philippine National Police (PNP) physician told the Sandiganbayan Third Division on Friday.
The antigraft court’s Third Division issued a warrant of arrest against Marcoleta on Monday in connection with his plunder case.

He was admitted to the PNP General Hospital the same day after complaining of chest pains and hypertension.

During the hearing, Associate Justice Karl Miranda asked Lt. Col. Benaly Bayani, chief of Internal Medicine at the PNP General Hospital, if Marcoleta is fit to travel.
Bayani, in response, said Marcoleta’s condition has “improved” and is now fit to travel as of present. /dp
