
CONSOLACION, Cebu – British Virgin Islands singer-songwriter Iyaz is headed to Cebu.
Keidran Kenmore Jones, better known as Iyaz, sparked excitement among Cebuanos after teasing his upcoming visit through a series of Instagram Stories.
On Wednesday, July 8, Iyaz posted an Instagram story that read, “Cebu see y’all soon!!!” He followed it up on Thursday, July 9, with another story saying, “Up Next, SOGOD!”
The stories quickly caught the attention of fans online, with many speculating that the singer is set to grace the fiesta celebration in the northern Cebu town of Sogod.
Adding to the excitement, Sogod Mayor Lissa Marie “Moonyeen” Durano-Streegan shared lyrics from Iyaz’s hit song “Replay” on her social media account.
The mayor wrote in her caption, “Ehemmm, andam na ba mo? Atangi!” further fueling speculation that the international singer will be part of the town’s fiesta.
While no official announcement has been made regarding the purpose of Iyaz’s visit or any scheduled performance, the back-to-back hints have already generated buzz among fans eager to welcome the artist to Cebu.
Some netizens also expressed their excitement in the comments.
One user wrote, “Halaaaa tag pila man ang ticket ani yor kay maglakaw na lang ko padung Sogod.”
Another commented, “Asa ang venue ani? Ka nice ani oi.”
