
MANILA, Philippines — Several flights for Friday, July 10, have been canceled due to the ongoing unrest at Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap).
In its advisory, the Caap said the following flights were canceled this Friday:

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, in its update on Friday, noted that it monitored a moderately explosive eruption at Kanlaon that lasted for around three minutes.
Seismologists likewise recorded 21 volcanic earthquakes at the volcano.

Kanlaon is currently under Alert Level 2, which indicates a moderate level of volcanic unrest.
Thus, entry into the four-kilometer radius of the permanent danger zone and flights by any aircraft near the volcano are prohibited. /das
