
MANILA, Philippines — Orange rainfall warning was hoisted over parts of Bataan and Zambales on Friday afternoon due to Typhoon Inday (international name: Bavi) and the southwest monsoon or habagat, the state weather bureau said.

In a heavy rainfall warning issued at 1:30 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the orange warning level was effective over the following areas:

Pagasa noted that under this warning, areas are expected to receive 15 to 30 millimeters (mm) of rainfall within the next three hours, where flooding is “threatening.”
Meanwhile, the following areas were placed under the yellow warning level:
Metro Manila
Cavite
Batangas
Bataan (Mariveles, Limay)
Zambales (Botolan, Candelaria, Iba, Masinloc, Palauig, Santa Cruz)
Under this rainfall warning, areas are expected to have 7.5 to 15 mm of rainfall within the next three hours with the bureau warning of possible flooding in flood-prone areas.

The bureau also said that moderate with occasional heavy rains were prevailing over the following areas and may persist within three hours:
