
Queens Park Rangers have signed former Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Pierce Charles on loan following his move to Manchester City.
The Northern Ireland international joined the Premier League Club on Friday on a five-year contract until the summer of 2031.
He now immediately joins the Championship side on a season-long loan for 2026-27 season.
Charles, 20, came through Manchester City's academy before joining Sheffield Wednesday in 2021.
He made his Owls debut in an FA Cup tie against Coventry City in 2024, and earned the number one jersey ahead of 2025-26 when he made 21 appearances across all competitions.
"The past few days have been quite busy, but to finally be here with a target to play this season at Champ level, it's something I've been wanting to do," Charles told the QPR website., external
"It fits my stage in my career right now. There's nothing better than playing games, especially when you're young."
Charles has represented Northern Ireland at every age-group level and has won 12 caps for the senior international side.
