Teen killed in France after she fell off truck while celebrating
Crowd gathers outside building chanting ‘All Jews are gay’; 4 arrested in Amsterdam; London police officer hospitalized with injury from glass bottle during clashes
A group of fans of the Moroccan soccer team chanted an antisemitic and homophobic slogan in the Netherlands, while a London police officer was injured in rioting following the team’s elimination from the FIFA World Cup at the hands of France on Thursday night.
Footage showed a crowd of men and teens in The Hague chanting, “All Jews are gay,” while waving Moroccan and Palestinian flags, after France won 2-0.
While some who shared the video online claimed the soccer fans were chanting outside a place where they believed Israeli tourists were staying, the video appeared to show the crowd outside a health clinic and an address at which there doesn’t seem to be a hotel or guesthouse.
Others said that the crowd shouted “Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas,” but that chant did not feature in the videos, and could not be verified.
Community volunteers initially acted to disperse the crowd, with police arriving later in large numbers, a local resident and freelance reporter said, putting an end to the unrest less than an hour after the match ended.

Meanwhile, British police battled football fans in central London early Friday after the Moroccan team’s defeat in the quarter-final.
One police officer was injured, and four people were arrested following the “violent disorder,” London police said.
Images shared on social media showed dozens of people standing on Edgware Road, near Hyde Park, and some throwing bottles and other objects at police.
Police said the trouble started after people blocked traffic in the road.
“The incident then escalated with the group throwing bottles and setting off fireworks,” a spokesman said. “One officer was taken to hospital for head injuries, it is believed he had been hit by a glass bottle.”

Media reports said that in France, celebrations were mostly peaceful.
However, a 17-year-old girl fell off a truck and was killed when she was run over while celebrating France’s victory, emergency services said Friday.
The teenager was on a truck at Aulnoye-Aymeries, near the northern city of Maubeuge, when she “fell and was run over” by the vehicle and was declared dead at the scene, according to emergency services.
The driver of the truck has been detained, while another teenager who witnessed the fall was taken to hospital suffering from shock, authorities said.
