
Iran was developing a plan to kill President Trump, which Israeli intelligence shared with the U.S. earlier this week, according to reports. Trump himself said on Wednesday, as he departed the NATO summit in Turkey, that he was a target.
The plot was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.
It comes as reporting indicates a security threat reportedly prompted the Secret Service to have Trump depart Turkey on an older Air Force One, which is believed to have more defensive measures than the newer, Qatari-gifted one.
The U.S. and Iran quieted their attacks coming into Friday.
A bipartisan housing bill is set to become law at midnight, but President Trump could move to veto the legislation on Friday — sparking anxiety among Republicans over how he is handling affordability ahead of the midterms.
The president canceled a signing ceremony for the bill over a lack of votes for the SAVE America Act last month.

Trump on Friday afternoon will swear-in country musician John Rich as his special envoy for American landowners. When Rich’s appointment was announced last month, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said, “A key focus of Rich’s work will be advocating for landowners facing pressure related to large-scale solar and wind development that may impact productive farmland, ranchland, and rural livelihoods.”
