
Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ian Borg visited Mount Carmel Hospital as one of his first official engagements since taking over the health portfolio.
During the visit, Borg toured the hospital’s newly completed wards, which have recently begun welcoming patients as part of ongoing upgrades to the facility.
In a post shared on Facebook, Borg said he is committed to ensuring Malta’s healthcare facilities are maintained to the highest standards, with a focus on safeguarding patients’ dignity while providing healthcare professionals with a better working environment.
He added that improving the country’s healthcare infrastructure will remain a priority, with the aim of delivering quality care in modern, well-maintained facilities.
Borg also thanked Mount Carmel’s management and staff for their continued dedication and commitment to caring for patients.
