Gigi Hadid Breaks Silence on Bradley Cooper Relationship
Saying no to dating is so last season for Gigi Hadid.
Back in 2023, the model cryptically shared a photo of an 87-year-old-woman holding a sign saying, "Dating Advice: Don't." Which, naturally, the internet took to be a telling window into Hadid's state of mind.
But then she connected with Bradley Cooper and a new romance was born.
It's now been almost three years since the runway star and the Maestro auteur were first spotted enjoying autumn in New York together. And while initially those sightings could have just signaled the beginning of a beautiful friendship, holding hands in London, hanging out on Valentine's Day and kissing at dinner soon made their couple status undeniable.
And what are Cooper, 51, and Hadid, 31, bonding over, you might ask?
"I respect him so much as a creative," she told Vogue in an interview published in March 2025. "And I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief. For those people you admire to encourage you, it can create so much belief in yourself. Like, what’s the worst thing if I auditioned for this? You jump and take the leap."
Though, diving in with Cooper after they met at a backyard birthday party for a mutual friend's child was less of leap of faith and more coming to terms with what she needed out of her person.

"I think just getting to the point where knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential," she explained. "And then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve…and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be."
A shrewd take, particularly because Hadid's humorous advisory against dating was assumed to be her reaction to a sighting of Leonardo DiCaprio, whom she casually dated in 2022, partying at Coachella with Irina Shayk. And, coincidentally, Shayk and Cooper—who broke up in 2019—remain close as parents of their now-9-year-old daughter Lea.

Hadid, meanwhile, shares 5-year-old daughter Khai with ex Zayn Malik—who, incidentally, is rooted these days on a farm in Pennsylvania, where Philadelphia Eagles fanatic Cooper happens to be from.
And though Cooper lived in L.A., where Hadid grew up, for years, he ended up moving to New York—where Hadid's been living since she graduated from high school in addition to her family's Pennsylvania farm—because that's where Shayk's career was based.
So, while none of these things necessarily have anything to do with each other, it's all awfully convenient just the same.
It took a beat, though, for Hadid and Cooper to fully hard-launch their relationship.
Cooper brought mom Gloria Campano to the 2024 Golden Globes (Hadid joined them for dinner afterward) and the Oscars—host Jimmy Kimmel made sure to take note of mother and son's frequent togetherness in his monologue.
And Lea reportedly was his date to the 10th Breakthrough Prize gala that April at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in L.A. He hit the red carpet solo, but it was a return appearance to the venue for Lea, who attended the premiere of Maestro—in which she had a bit role as composer Leonard Bernstein's daughter Jamie, played older in the film by Maya Hawke—there in December 2023 with her dad.
But then Cooper and Hadid seemed to be doing everything everywhere all at once: The actor popped up in photos from the model's birthday dinner, diving into the Mediterranean Sea during their stay aboard a yacht off the coast of Italy that September and running errands while out in Venice Beach, Calif., months later.
Their favorite sort of date night, though, involves applauding their pals on Broadway in their adopted hometown.
As for going Instagram-official, that didn’t come until May 2025, when Hadid posted a photo of her kissing Cooper at her 30th birthday party. Since then, the pair have made their relationship a little more public—going on star-studded double dates, giving rare glimpses into their romance on social media and keeping their bond close to the heart with her “G loves B” necklace.
And while they’ve yet to make their red carpet debut, Hadid and Cooper have attended high profile events together, including the 2026 Met Gala (he skipped the carpet and met her inside) and Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s celeb-filled wedding.
Still, privacy remains important to Hadid and Cooper. Though she described their union to Vogue as "very romantic and happy," she noted, "It’s just not part of our relationship to share for whatever reason."
While she used to post peeks into her relationship with Malik, which ended in 2021, the face of Miu Miu and Maybelline knew she was damned if she did or didn't.
"If I post what I think would be normal to post with your boyfriend then the comments are, 'It's extra', 'it's forced', 'it's fake,'" Hadid told British Vogue in 2018. "And then if I don't do enough then they're like, 'They're not really together,' so it's kind of always a battle. But I do what feels true to me and I try to do it with integrity and all I can hope is that people would see it's real."

And while Cooper loves directing and starring in a love story, he is famously private about his own personal life, even when it's being dutifully chronicled by paparazzi.
"I just don't talk about certain things," he said on The Howard Stern Show in 2015. As to why he didn't have more red carpet date nights of the romantic variety, the 12-time Oscar nominee (acting, producing, directing and writing) added, "You're right, it's so great to take someone you're with to a place where a hundred people are going to photograph you every step you make and ask you tons of questions, and then rip it apart the next day. No, no, no, no, no."
But Cooper and Hadid aren't sitting around being hermits, either, so do enjoy the photos of their romance as it continues to blossom:
