
MANILA, Philippines – DoubleDragon Corp. is on track to open its 482-room Hotel101-Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan, by December this year after completing the building’s exterior, marking another milestone in the company’s push to expand its Hotel101 brand overseas.
In a disclosure on Friday, the listed property developer said the hotel’s facade has been completed, while interior fit-out works are now in full swing. The company said construction remains on schedule for a December 2026 opening.

“Following the current generation of euro currency recurring revenue since March 2026 from the opening of the 680-room Hotel101-Madrid, DoubleDragon is set to start generating Japanese yen currency recurring revenues by December 2026 from the 482-room Hotel101-Niseko,” the company said.

Once operational, Hotel101-Niseko will become the largest hotel in Kutchan, Niseko, with 482 rooms. DoubleDragon also said the project would make it the first Filipino homegrown hotel chain to build and operate a hotel in Japan.
The company said Hotel101-Niseko will feature two indoor swimming pools, a hot mineral bath and sauna, meeting rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a grab-and-go outlet, a children’s playground, a fitness gym and ski-related facilities, including rental and locker services.
It also cited new direct flights from Vancouver and San Francisco to Sapporo, as well as direct Manila-Sapporo services offered by Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific, which it said would improve access for Filipino travelers.
The company said Hotel101’s international rollout remains anchored on its goal of establishing one million uniform hotel rooms across 100 countries.

It added that its existing Hotel101-Manila and Hotel101-Fort properties continue to post high occupancy rates, while Hotel101-Madrid has delivered strong initial operating performance since opening earlier this year.

“This year 2026 will be the year with the highest number of room openings in one year. A total of additional 2,229 hotel rooms are slated to be operational this year 2026, 680 rooms in the recently opened Madrid, Spain, to be followed by 519 rooms in Davao, 548 rooms in Cebu and 482 rooms in Niseko Hokkaido Japan,” the company said.
As of the latest disclosure, DoubleDragon reported total assets of P225.3 billion. INQ
