
MANILA, Philippines — Zambales and other portions of Luzon were placed under yellow rainfall warning due to enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat on Saturday morning, the state weather bureau said.
In a rainfall warning issued at 8 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that yellow warning was raised over the following areas:
Zambales
Bataan
Cavite (Amadeo, Tagaytay, Indang, Trece Martires, Naic, Maragondon, Magallanes, Alfonso, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Mendez, Ternate, Tanza)
Batangas (Laurel, Talisay, Lemery, Agoncillo, Mabini, San Luis, Bauan, Taal, San Nicolas, Santa Teresita, Calaca, Tuy, Balayan, Calatagan, Lian, Nasugbu)
Pampanga (Floridablanca, Lubao, Sasmuan, Macabebe, Masantol)

Under this warning, areas are expected to have 7.5 to 15 mm of rainfall within the next three hours with the bureau warning of possible flooding in flood-prone areas.

Meanwhile, Pagasa noted that moderate with occasional heavy rains are expected over the following areas within the next three hours:
Metro Manila
Rizal
Tarlac
Nueva Ecija
Pampanga (Apalit, Arayat, Bacolor, Candaba, San Fernando, Magalang, Mexico, Minalin, San Luis, San Simon, Santa Ana, Santo Tomas, Angeles, Mabalacat, Guagua, Porac, Santa Rita)
It added that light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are prevailing over the following and may persist within three hours:
Laguna (Calauan, Victoria, San Pablo, Alaminos, Los Baños, Bay, Calamba, Cabuyao, Santa Rosa, Biñan)
Quezon (Tiaong, San Antonio)
Batangas (Rosario, Lobo, Taysan, Padre Garcia, San Juan, Lipa, Alitagtag, Balete, Batangas City, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, San Jose, San Pascual, Santo Tomas, Tingloy)
Bulacan (Hagonoy, Paombong, Malolos, Bulakan, Calumpit)
Cavite (Imus, Cavite City, Kawit, Noveleta, Rosario, General Trias, Silang, Dasmariñas, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Carmona) /das
