Three of the NRL's top six are in action today, kicking off with a battle of fifth vs sixth between the Dolphins and Cronulla Sharks.
The 2026 Disappointment Bowl follow with the Bulldogs and Raiders, both of whom occupied top spot for large chunks of last season but sit well outside the finals this year.
And the day's play wraps up with the third-placed Roosters hosting the Eels in Daniel Tupou's 300th game.

HALF-TIME: Chapman with a brilliant double as Titans lead Dogs
By Jon Healy
The Gold Coast Titans lead the Bulldogs 16-0 at half-time in Sydney thanks in part to a scintillating pair of tries to Jaime Chapman.
She was joined on the scorers' sheet by Evania Isa'ako, née Pelite, as she returns to the Titans' side after a year off while pregnant.
The Titans are all over the Dogs, who are completing at just 68 per cent, while the Coasters have had 58 per cent of possession at Homebush.

HALF-TIME: Sharks dominate Dolphins to lead 24-0
By Jon Healy
Addin Fonua-Blake goes on report for a high shot on Tevita Naufahu to end the set.
That gives the Dolphins one last play in Sharks territory and there's excellent ball movement, but again the defence corrals them and the clean sheet remains.

37' Dolphins attack looking impotent
By Jon Healy
The usually slick attack of the Phins is looking very out of sorts.
Despite missing Isaiya Katoa, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Jack Bostock and Selwyn Cobbo, there's still a lot of class out there but they can't get anything going even on the rare occasions when they actually do hold the ball for a full set.
This time the pass is behind Tevita Naufahu and the Sharks muscle up to launch him over the sideline.

AMAZING PASS BY TRINDALL FOR MULITALO TO SCORE
By Jon Healy
The Dolphins' defence is in all sorts as Brad Schneider tries to shamelessly milk an obstruction penalty, but Braydon Trindall is unfazed and just takes the extra space granted to him to double pump and fire a glorious ball about 20 metres to Ronaldo Mulitalo to score.

30' Another error by the Dolphins
By Jon Healy
Brad Schneider telegraphs a drop-under for Kulikefu Finefeuiaki, but Teig Wilton is absolutely on his hammer and Finefeuiaki fumbles it with the Sharks back rower up in his face as the pass hits him.
Once again the Sharks go straight on the attack as the Dolphins' completion rate drops under 60 per cent.

Sharks score and this could be an eight-point try
By Jon Healy
Another grubber in behind, this time by Will Kennedy. Sione Katoa storms through to ground it as he slides in, and Trai Fuller accidentally collects Katoa in the face with his hip.
It would be a tough call, but could we see an eight-point try here?
No, not according to the officials.

25' Sharks muscle up in defence
By Jon Healy
Jamayne Isaako catches a bomb 13 metres in from touch, but KL Iro, Teig Wilton and Ronaldo Mulitalo gang up on him and drag him all the way over the sideline.
I don't know why teams are allowed to drag players that far sideways, but would be stopped if they were going backwards. But anyway, Sharks ball about 25 metres out.

Sensational effort by KL Iro to score
By Jon Healy
Braydon Trindall rolls in a grubber and the Dolphins appear to have it covered through Trai Fuller and Jamayne Isaako, but KL Iro muscles between the pair and manages to pull off a stunning grounding while completely horizontal on the dive.
There's a bit of a question over the grounding, but the bunker confirms the on-field try call.

Oregon Kaufusi slams down the first try
By Jon Healy
Blayke Brailey drifts out of dummy half close to the line and fires a ball to Oregon Kaufusi.
He hits Morgan Knowles before Francis Molo, Trai Fuller and Tom Flegler arrive, but they're still not enough to stop him from scoring in exactly the same sort of position the Flegler missed out at the other end.

15' Flegler crashes over, but it's another no try
By Jon Healy
Pure power from big Tom Flegler as he drags three Sharks over the tryline, but Billy Burns is able to do enough to force the ball loose just over the line.

11' Cronulla struggling to capitalise
By Jon Healy
The Dolphins have dropped the ball a couple of times coming out of their own territory, but the Sharks aren't able to make them pay.
Meanwhile, any time the Phins get to the end of their sets, they're pinning the Sharks deep in their half.

5' Jamayne Isaako isn't happy
By Jon Healy
Jamayne Isaako takes a hard run back and appears to be stripped in the tackle by Braydon Trindall and KL Iro, but the referee says he lost it cold.
As the Sharks threaten down the right, Herbie Farnworth and Tevita Naufahu back up Isaako's error as they dump Jesse Ramien into touch.

3' Will Kennedy crosses, but Todd Smith thinks it's a double movement
By Jon Healy
On the back of the first penalty and set restart of the game, the Sharks are surging and Will Kennedy thinks he's scored, but it's pretty obviously a double movement.
That's a sensational tackle by Trai Fuller.

LATE MAIL: Some Origin stars backing up for Dolphins and Sharks
By Jon Healy
For the Dolphins, backs Selwyn Cobbo, Jack Bostock and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow aren't backing up from Origin III, but middle forwards Max Plath and Tom Flegler will.
For the Sharks, Briton Nikora is missing, while Blayke Brailey starts and Addin Fonua-Blake is tacked onto the bench in jersey number 23.

Tigers go 2-0 with NRLW win over Cowboys
By Jon Healy
Another impressive outing by halfback Raecene McGregor has led the Tigers to a second straight win to start the NRLW season.
Backing up her brilliance against the Eels in round one, McGregor was again instrumental in the Tigers' 30-18 victory over the Cowboys in Townsville.
Meanwhile, playmaker Faythe Manera nabbed a hat-trick as the Tigers jumped out to a big lead before the Cowboys threatened a comeback with three tries in 12 minutes between the 52nd and 64th minutes.
But Shaylee Bent's final four-pointer, and McGregor's perfect 5/5 day from the kicking tee, kept the Tigers out of reach.
