A 35-year-old man accused in a POCSO case allegedly killed six people
HYDERABAD: A 35-year-old man accused in a POCSO case allegedly killed six people, including the teenage girl who had accused him, her mother and grandmother, before allegedly murdering his own wife and two young sons in Telangana's Rangareddy district on Friday night.Police said the accused, identified as Raju Kumar, remains absconding. A search operation has been launched, while the six bodies have been shifted to a mortuary for post-mortem examination.Victims from two familiesAccording to police, the victims include the minor girl, her 42-year-old mother, her 60-year-old grandmother, the accused's 31-year-old wife, and his two sons aged four years and 18 months.A police official said, "Yesterday, Raju Kumar, 35, an accused in a POCSO case, allegedly killed six people.
The victims include the minor girl, her mother, her grandmother, his wife, and two children. After committing the crime, he informed his parents, who then alerted the police. We are currently investigating the matter and searching for the accused. The bodies have been shifted to the mortuary for post-mortem examination.
"The accused was previously booked under the POCSO Act and was out on bail. The girl's family lived in Shabad, while the accused is a native of Raiwalaguda.
Attack begins at complainant's homePolice said the accused drove about six kilometres from his village to Shabad town at around 10.45 pm.Investigators said he first went to the home of the teenage girl, whose family had filed a POCSO complaint against him in May, accusing him of stalking her.When the girl's mother opened the door, he allegedly attacked her with a knife. Police said he then entered the house and allegedly killed the girl's grandmother while she was asleep.He then allegedly forced the teenager into his car."Surprisingly, he did not harm the girl's 20-year-old mentally challenged sister, who was also at home," a Shabad police official said.Girl found dead near village lakePolice said the accused drove to a lake near his village, where he allegedly stabbed the teenager to death and left her body near the bund.He then returned home.According to investigators, he entered his house at 11.21 pm and left about six minutes later after allegedly slitting the throats of his wife and their two young sons, who were asleep.Phone call to family before escapeAfter the killings, police said the accused telephoned his father, who lives in Shabad, and told him what had happened.According to investigators, he told family members he had finished off both families and intended to die by suicide.His parents alerted police, triggering a search operation. The accused fled in a car and remains at large.Police said the investigation is ongoing.
