TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines — Sem Japet Enano continued his rampage in the Land Down Under after scoring a seventh-round technical knockout over hometown bet Tyler Blizzard on Friday night, July 10, at the Fortitude Music Hall in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, Australia.
Enano, a rising prospect from the Sanman Boxing Gym in General Santos City, recently defeated another Australian boxer, Tyler Adams, via unanimous decision last April in New South Wales. The victory earned Enano the International Boxing Organization (IBO) Oceania-Orient featherweight title.

This time, he faced Blizzard in a non-title eight-rounder that was supposed to serve as the Australian’s stepping stone. Instead, Enano handed him a rude awakening.
In the pivotal seventh round, Enano unleashed a flurry of combinations that had Blizzard reeling on his feet.
Enano never let up, landing crushing punches to the head and body that forced the referee to stop the fight at the 42-second mark of the seventh round.

The 26-year-old Enano improved to 9–2 with four knockouts, while Blizzard dropped to 10–2 with four knockouts.
“I want to thank everyone who supports me, my family and my team, Sanman Boxing. I will continue to work hard and reach my goal of becoming a world champion,” said Enano.
Sanman Boxing CEO Jim Claude Manangquil was impressed with Enano’s performance, adding that bigger fights await his prized fighter following his back-to-back impressive victories in Australia.
